Crafting Songs with Care
I compose and record tracks that prioritise great vocals, layered instrumentation, and warm production aesthetics. My work balances instinct with detail - producing quickly but with care in order to most accurately capture the artist's vision. You will notice my organised and coloured files in Logic Pro X.
Artist-Focussed Production
I work closely with artists to capture their unique voice and vision. Known for creating a safe, supportive environment, I especially value working with women, LGBTQIA+, and gender-diverse musicians. My approach is about comfort in the studio, so collaborators feel free to experiment and take creative risks.
My Process
My process starts with receiving a demo, sharing references, having a pre-prod/get to know you session and then we book in studio time!
Touch Grass (Acoustic Version)
THE ZON - Produced by Hag
I recorded and mixed the guitars for this track, using one acoustic guitar to achieve several different tones that I blended and shaped to Eddy's (THE ZON) vision.
Overdrive
Eva ilov - Produced by Hag
This track was entirely recorded, produced, and mixed by me, inspired by a chord progression Eva played for me in the studio. She’d sent over a reference playlist beforehand, and I initially made four different beats for her — but in the end, only the intro drums remained in the final version of Overdrive. The rest of the song came together in a single day, followed by two additional vocal sessions with Eva.
One Time
THE IPES - Produced by Hag
For my SCP Vermillion project, we worked with high school artists and bands to produce professional studio recordings. Recording The IPES was a particularly fun session — alongside my assistant producers, Jacob Mills and Angus Beeney, we tracked the full instrumental (drums, guitar, bass, and trumpet) live in just five hours, capturing their raw energy and chemistry in the room. We later recorded vocals in Z9-413.
Bell Tower
Pap Smear & The Mammograms - Produced by Hag
Again, as part of Vermillion High, I was lead producer on the band from QACI - Pap Smear & The Mammograms. I engineered, produced and mixed this track with help from assistant producers Jacob Mills and Angus Beeney. We recorded drums, bass, guitar, vocals, piano and tubular bells over the span of 4 sessions.
